The objective is to support the organization of traditional, regional, or neighborhood festivals in the city throughout 2025
The Fiestas Department grants €21,000 to support Benidorm's festival organizations.

Benidorm City Council, through its Department of Fiestas, has approved another €21,000 grant to support local festivals and non-profit organizations. The local Governing Board has approved this aid program, which, according to the councillor for the department, Mariló Cebreros, aims to "help cover some of the expenses involved in holding festivals or events" and "to be able to control spending equitably across all events, based on their relevance and the event held" throughout 2025.
Cebreros pointed out that, as established in the rules, these grants are intended to "support the implementation of activities that promote the city's traditions while also serving as a tourist attraction for our municipality." Therefore, these grants will be awarded based on the different types of festivals to be subsidized. On the one hand, there are the "Relevant Festivals in the Valencian Community," which have a total budget of 7,000 euros, of which no more than 2,000 euros may be awarded per entity, provided they meet requirements such as holding parades, having marching bands through the streets of the municipality, hosting a fireworks event, having a minimum duration of three days of activities, installing a representative element characteristic of the festival, or having carried out their activities for more than 5 years.
The second category will be the "Regional Houses," with a total budget of 1,800 euros, of which no more than 600 euros may be awarded per entity. These entities, among other requirements, will be required to hold parades, hold a public event on the official day of their Community, have marching bands through the streets of the municipality, organize food tastings, and have carried out their activities for more than 5 years.
In third place are the so-called "Neighborhood Festivals," with a total budget of 800 euros, of which 100% of the grant can be awarded as long as they meet the following requirements: holding a musical event for the neighbourhood; holding parades and food tastings; and having carried out their activities for more than 5 years.
"Traditional Festivals" come in fourth, with a total budget of 6,600 euros, of which no more than 1,100 euros can be awarded per entity, as long as they meet very similar requirements to the previous three. Among these, aspects such as the duration of their festivals and the hosting of fireworks events will also be taken into account.
Finally, the fifth category concerns the "Brotherhoods," with a total budget of 5,400 euros, of which no more than 600 euros may be applied per entity. The requirements for these associations are participation in events related to the Patron Saint Festivals; participation in at least two processions; participation in at least one processional float; or a presence of more than five years. Furthermore, the number of events held will be considered among the award criteria.
The deadline for applying for these grants will be extended for 30 days after the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province, as explained by the responsible councillor. She also noted that applicant entities must be legally constituted and registered in the Registry of Associations of the Benidorm City Council; have a registered office or branch office that is stable, active, and open to the public in Benidorm; To have as express institutional purposes, according to their statutes and the characteristics of each entity, the implementation of activities geared toward the municipality's festive activities and the promotion and development of tourism; and to be up to date with their tax obligations.
Cebreros concluded by stating that, as the local government, "we once again demonstrate our commitment to Benidorm's festive organizations and those who are part of them," while also "recognizing the value that many of these festivals have as a tourist attraction" for Benidorm.
