The ‘Fancy Dress’ establishes as the annual costume party and brings together about 35,000 Britons in the parade with floats

14 November 2019
La ‘Fancy Dress’ se consagra como la fiesta anual de disfraces y reúne cerca de 35.000 británicos en su desfile con carrozas

The 'Fancy Dress' of Benidorm is already an event marked on the Anglo-Saxon tourism calendar and increasingly extended to other countries, in which thousands of tourists expressly travel on this date to enjoy this massive event, which is celebrated on Thursday, after the end of the Major Patron Festivities, and whose idea began more than 20 years ago.

More than 35,000 Britons have enjoyed this annual "unofficial" costume party in which both residents and visitors gather together with people of other nationalities to participate in the largest street costume party in Europe. Bars, hotels and entertainment venues along "The Strip" join the celebrations, offering giant paellas, music, artists and much more.

The Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, along with the councillor of Public Security, Lorenzo Martínez and the councillor of Social Welfare, Angela Llorca have accompanied in this new edition to Ociobal, organizer of the parade with more than 20 floats and in which they have taken part 35 entertainment venues in Rincon de Loix, premiering a somewhat more extensive tour than in past editions.

All the councilors of the government team present have highlighted the participation that each year congregates the 'Fancy Dress' in “the last great event of the year” and “indisputable appointment in the calendar of British tourism, to which every year more visitors join nationalities and residents of Benidorm and other towns in the region ”.
