The exhibition of the local photographer Simeón Nogueroles moves to the Municipal Library
The municipal library of Benidorm hosts the exhibition of photographs by the artist Simeón Nogueroles, which was exhibited last year at Museu Boca del Calvari from July to November, with a great reception from the public interested in knowing what Benidorm was like decades ago.
As mentioned by the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, for Benidorm it is an honor that "the family of Simeón has put all this material at the disposal of the Department of Historical Heritage to set up this exhibition"; also "to all those who in recent years have compiled images taken by the photographer, which have served as the basis for this exhibition that now sees the light".
The exhibition shows images of Benidorm from the late 40s to the early 70s with the aim of teaching the public the evolution of Benidorm with black and white images, in color and even some colored by hand.
The show will be divided into twelve exhibitions, approximately one month long, each with a different theme for one year. The images that are currently displayed in the library are black and white and portray life as it was in the old town.
