Equality inaugurates the VI Exhibition of posters against gender violence by students of IES Pere María Orts
Benidorm City Council has begun the programming of events on the occasion of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with the inauguration today of the VI Exhibition of posters against gender violence made by students and Second-year Baccalaureate students at IERS Pere María Orts i Bosch.
The exhibition, which will remain in the municipal Espai d'Art until the 25th of this month, has been inaugurated by the Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, who has been accompanied by the delegates of the artistic baccalaureate, the students who are the authors of the posters and members of the municipal corporation.
The councillor highlighted that it is a "transversal action" of her department with that of Culture and the institute itself "which has become a very important project because it is a creation of our young people with great scope and visibility".
The sample will move on the 25th to the exhibition hall of the Casa del Fester and will later be installed on public roads in the form of 'muppies'. “Through cinema and series, the guiding thread of the works has been the mottos 'Act like him' and 'Don't act like him', Zaragozí pointed out.
"We invite everyone to visit the exhibition, both here at the Town Hall and at La Casa del Fester and on the street so that it has visibility and raises awareness on an issue as important as this" pointed out the mayor.
For their part, the two delegates from the IES artistic baccalaureate explained that they had chosen this common thread “as a way of representing and making visible the behaviors that men have to follow and which ones they don't”.
