This afternoon, the Royal Postman will be at the Christmas Square collecting the letters of boys and girls from Benidorm

The emissaries of the Three Wise Men and municipal technicians prepare the Sunday Cavalcade

02 January 2020
Los emisarios de los Reyes Magos y técnicos municipales preparan la Cabalgata del domingo

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, have received this morning at the Town Hall the emissaries of The Majesties, the Three Wise Men from the East: Manuel Bobante, Javier Díaz and Alexandre Fratini who, on behalf of Melchor , Gaspar and Baltasar, have visited the municipal offices accompanied by Marta Mayor, author of the poster announcing the Great Cavalcade next Sunday, January 5.

Today "the most anticipated visit of the year by this mayor," said Pérez it has taken place, "for the illusion that the arrival of the Magi to the city awakens among the little ones" and, also, among thousands of people that visit us these days. The mayor recalled that Benidorm is currently enjoying "a very good moment of occupation."

Toni Pérez congratulated Marta Mayor for “the talent” she has shown with the design of the poster that announces the Great Three Wise Men Cavalcade that will depart next Sunday, January 5, from Elche Park, at 6:00 p.m. Likewise, the mayor has announced that, as of today, at 6.30 p.m., the Royal Postman will be collecting letters at the Christmas Square "so that children who have not yet sent their letters to the Kings can do so" directly with their messenger .

Jesús Carrobles has advanced that the Cavalcade "will maintain the structure of recent years" with a first part "very playful, dedicated to children, with characters from movies and television stories" that this year has been extended "because children demand it from us " In the second part, the parade tells ‘The history of the Magi from the East’, following an illustrated notebook edited by the Department of Fiestas that will be distributed among all the children present along the route.

The one in Benidorm is “one of the most important cavalcades in the Valencian Community”, Carrobles has meant. It will have a thousand participants, six dance bodies, 12 floats, more than 4,000 kilos of candies and 2,000 gifts that "personally give the Kings to children", in addition to the "typical animals and figures such as the Christmas Star, or the Sage. " The Great Three Wise Men Cavalcade of 2020 will end with a sound, lighting and fireworks show that "we are sure that children will love it," said the councilor.

Manuel Bobante, Javier Díaz and Alexandre Fratini and technicians of the Department of Fiestas will work side by side until Sunday so that the welcome to the Kings will once again fill all homes in Benidorm with enthusiasm.
