The Assembly Hall of the Town Hall, the stage of one of the most universal creations of Spanish literature
El Tenorio returns to Benidorm for All Saints' Day
Benidorm has been the scene, once again, of the adventures of the trickster of women, Don Juan Tenorio. An initiative by the Department of Culture and Tossal Teatre and Alpí Teatre artistic groups.
The Assembly Hall of the Town Hall has been transformed into 16th-century Seville thanks to the dramatized reading of one of the most universal creations of Spanish literature, the work by José Zorrilla. This time with the cast of actors from Tossal Teatre and Alpí Teatre, under the direction of Manuel Palazón and Ricardo Molina.
The public enjoyed a classical play of Spanish theater on the dates of All Saints. Among the attendees, the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, other members of the Municipal Corporation, and part of the public in fancy dress for the occasion because of Halloween.
El Tenorio is a romantic drama, it tells the story of a trickster of women that begins on the days of Carnival and ends on All Saints Day; a seducer who, despite mocking the social values of the time, will end up truly falling in love with the innocent Doña Inés and who, thanks to that love, will be freed from the flames of hell.
