Eighteen restaurants compete to develop the best creation in the Brochette Week

The penultimate round of '2016 Benidorm Gastronómico' developes a new competition from 19 to 25 September


A total of 18 restaurants in town competes next week to develop the best creation in the 'Brochette Week', the penultimate round of Benidorm Gastronómico 2016 and today it has been presented by the mayor, Toni Pérez and the president of ABRECA, Javier del Castillo, in the municipal building El Torrejó. This presentation was also attended by the godfather of Benidorm Gastronomic 2016, Juan Orquín; members of most groups of the corporation; as well as representatives of the participating establishments who have shown their brochettes for the competition. The mayor stressed that both the competition and Brochette Week like other events of Benidorm Gastronomico serve to "give visibility to good food you can taste in town" and "the work of our restorers" as well as the offer "the best quality and service" to residents and tourists. Pérez explained that when programming all the gastronomic events of the year, the City Council,  ABRECA and Visit Benidorm Foundation, we searched times of the year out of high season for these events serve as a "pole of attraction". In this regard, the president of ABRECA said that these events cause the activity is not restricted only to Easter, summer and bank holidays." To vote in the contest, diners should visit at least four of the participating establishments and try the brochettes prepared for the event. In each establishment the brochure is sealed , with their favorite brochettes and ytheir personal data in order to participate in the draw for a trip and a dinner for two in the restaurant chosen from among the 18 participants. This edition participate in the contest: Aurrera Pintxos, Authentic, El Bodegón de Aurrera, El Choquero, La Brasserie Aurreá, La Cava Aragonesa, La Tapería Aurrera, Los Peces, Restaurante El Puerto, Sidrería El Hórreo, Son de Mar, Taberna Andaluza, Taverna Saltoki, Tabernita del Sur, Talotako, Terra Atlántica, Tragantúa and Zarzosa.
