Eight entities join the Pacte per l’Ocupació de la Marina Baixa as collaborators
Eight entities have joined this Tuesday as collaborators in the Pacte per l'Ocupació de la Marina Baixa (POMB), a body chaired by the Benidorm City Council in the figure of the councillor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, and whose objective is to improve employability, training and conditions for access to the labour market in the region, working on different lines of action.
The new collaborating entities of the Pacte, whose membership was approved in the last Governing Council of the body, are the Provincial Association of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations of Alicante (APHA); the Business Association of Travel Agencies of Benidorm and the Costa Blanca (AVIBE); the local Red Cross groups in Altea, Benidorm and La Vila Joiosa; the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa (Jovempa Marina Baixa), the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Marina Baixa; and the National University of Distance Education (UNED) of Benidorm.
Today all of them have formalized their adhesion to the Regional Occupation Pact in a meeting in which the councillor Mónica Gómez and the mayor of Benimantell, José Manuel Andreu, who holds the Vice-Presidency of the body, participated.
The Pacte per l'Ocupació de la Marina Baixa was established on March 10, 2023, with the signature of the representatives of the 18 municipalities that make up this region, together with CC OO, UGT and CEV, establishing as the main lines of action of the project to improve the labour insertion of priority groups – young people, women and those over 45 years of age – and the promotion of specialized vocational training, as well as business management capacity. It currently has more than twenty collaborating entities.
