The Cycle of Great Recitals offers on Friday a tribute concert to Pedro Iturralde by the pianist Jesús Gómez

The Cycle of Great Recitals organized by the Department of Culture will offer a tribute concert to Pedro Iturralde next Friday, under the title 'Old friends', by the pianist Jesús María Gómez. The meeting will take place at 8:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Assembly Hall.
Jesús María Gómez has a doctorate in Education from the University of Alicante and a higher degree in piano and chamber music, having studied in Spain, Paris and Amberes.
The pianist has been awarded in different national and international competitions and has performed in the main concert halls throughout the country, as well as having done so in France, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Portugal or Russia, among many other countries. He has also taught courses at Conservatories and Universities in Spain, France, Portugal, Romania, Italy and Japan.
He is currently a professor of piano and deputy director of the Óscar Esplá Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante and a member of the Valencian Academy of Music since 2017.
The repertoire of Friday's concert includes the works by Pedro Iturralde for piano 'Zorongo Gitano', 'Homenaje a Granados', 'Miniatura-Impromptu', 'Balada Galaica', 'El Molino y el río', 'Jazz Waltz', ' Tribute to trane' and 'Elegía' among others.
