Culture brings 'Sinestesia' to Benidorm in March, the dance and music show by Ana Agraz from Benidorm

13 February 2023
Espectáculo de danza. Ana Agraz

The Cultural Center will host on March 12 the music and dance show by Ana Agraz from Benidorm, an appointment that comes from the Department of Culture, which will take place at 7:00 p.m. and with tickets for 12 euros that can be obtained at www.entradasatualcance.com starting tomorrow, Tuesday at noon.

With the name of 'Synesthesia', music, dance, and color take center stage in a show in which all the elements grow from their most earthly roots to the most current and metaphysical concept of their meanings. The relationship between music and colors and the emotions that these generate in people is the common thread to express through dance and music the sensations that are attributed to each color.

Directed by Ana Agraz and Daniel Jurado, with choreography by Agraz herself. It will feature musicians such as Daniel Jurado, María Toro, Desiré Paredes, Julio Alcocer, and Cary Rosa, with Michael Realin as a guest artist. David Pérez and Víctor Tomé are in charge of lighting and sound design respectively.

Ana Agraz, a native of Benidorm, began her training at Benidorm Dance Studio and José Espadero Professional Conservatory in Alicante. At the age of 16, she began her professional career at Tablao Corral de la Pacheca and in 1998 she entered the New Spanish Ballet as a solo dancer.

From 2002 to 2006 she performed in the companies of Rafael Amargo, Joaquín Cortés, Antonio Najarro, and Rubén Olmo. Later she was part of the Flamenco Hoy company directed by Carlos Saura and from 2011 to 2019 she danced with the company of Jesús Carmona and became part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía. Since 2016 she has been combining her work in the company of Patricia Guerrero and Mercedes Ruiz. Since 2019 she has been part of the ballet corps of the National Ballet of Spain, directed by Rubén Olmo, in which she plays the roles of soloist and prima ballerina.
