It is expected that at the close of this edition, the impact of the initiative will reach 18 million euros
Coinciding with the Christmas dates, Benidorm City Council promotes the 3rd edition of '#BenidormTeDaMás' program, with which five 10-euro consumer vouchers will be made available to older people registered in the city to be used in the local establishments and services.
This was announced today at a press conference by the mayor, Toni Pérez, who has announced that this edition will take place from December 15 to 31; and that it has influenced the fact that the two previous editions confirm that '#BenidormTeDaMás' is “an excellent formula to stimulate economic activity, achieving the double objective of helping families in a time of difficulty and doing the same with the productive fabric local, injecting economy and encouraging consumption”.
Prior to the press conference, the mayor informed the details of the program to the associations and business entities of the different productive sectors.
Toni Pérez explained that this edition will follow the same operation as the previous two: each person of legal age registered in Benidorm on December 1 and who is 18 years old on the 31st of this month will be able to download up to five vouchers of 10 euros each, adding a total of 50 euros. Each of these 10-euro consumer vouchers may be used as a discount on purchases or consumption equal to or greater than 20 euros in establishments and services participating in the campaign.
According to the data transferred by the mayor, "the people to which this campaign is directed is 63,540" and the City Council is going to reserve 3,177,000 euros for this initiative. As in previous editions, citizens and the productive fabric will work with the BuyBono app or on the website www.bonobenidormtedamas.es, which will be operational again in the coming days.
Regarding the deadlines, the establishments and services that want to join '#BenidormTeDaMás' may do so from December 9 until December 31, following the same process as in previous editions. Consumers, for their part, will be able to access their vouchers from December 15 and redeem them until the 31st.
The mayor has indicated that the City Council is facing this third '#BenidormTeDaMás' "with optimism", and has added that "thanks to the voucher-consumption system promoted by the Benidorm City Council in its three editions, it has been confirmed that a turnover in the city, with the municipal injection, of more than 18 million euros”; a figure that will be reached on December 31, taking into account that the previous editions have reached 6 million euros of economic repercussion each.
Likewise, he recalled that "Benidorm was the first municipality in the province of Alicante to launch this initiative coinciding with Christmas 2021", a consumer voucher formula that "has been replicated in practically all the municipalities of the province of Alicante", mostly in the hands of the Diputación that "has taken over" and that "has invested more than any other provincial administration".
Toni Pérez has concluded that the fact that "the initiative, the creativity, the impulse of a government team, of a City Council allow in 12 and a half months to mobilize a turnover, an injection in the local economy of more than 18 million euros It seems to me very important to take into account when making an assessment of the program ”.
