The Department of Commerce has published today the provisional list with the more than 2,700 establishments registered in #BenidormTeEspera, the decoration contest organized by the City Council to promote the creativity of shops and services, hotel, restaurant and leisure establishments, hotels and transport of passengers, and at the same time to energize the activity of the city. A contest that “is part of the measures designed by the City Council to support the local productive fabric against the effects of the pandemic and to which 1.5 million euros will be allocated, which will reach the participants in the form of second prize general of 500 euros ”, as recalled by the mayor, Toni Pérez.
Toni Pérez has indicated that, with Valentine's Day and San José festivity as a backdrop, “this contest aims, in addition to stimulating activity and supporting the productive sector, to show the world what is waiting for them in Benidorm when normality is restored ”.
The mayor has pointed out that “the participation data in this #BenidormTeEspera practically duplicates those registered in the contest that preceded it, that of Christmas Window Dressing, is confirmed by the suitability of this municipal initiative and the positive assessment that the productive fabric makes of the city, which we thank for having wanted to participate en masse in a contest with which Benidorm has multiplied its presence and visibility on social networks and, with the city, the activity, effort and good work of its shops, companies and professionals ”.
The Councilor for Commerce, Lorenzo Martínez, explained that "after purging the duplications registered, 2,939 files have been filed, of which 2,714 have been approved, while 225 have been denied for not complying with the bases." However, "as of next Monday, March 8, we open a four-day correction period so that denied establishments can provide the missing documentation or solve possible errors and thus make their participation viable."
Thus, from Monday to Thursday the 11th, these establishments can contact the Department of Commerce at 966815443 and 966815421 for possible mistakes.
Martínez has reported that, in the meantime, “the jury is already viewing the publications made by the participants on their social networks to evaluate the decoration of each of the establishments or vehicles in relation to the criteria established in the contest rules, which are : creativity, originality, thematic setting, aesthetic montage and complexity, and the publication itself on social networks ”. Subsequently, the jury will visit the establishments that have obtained the highest score to make a face-to-face assessment and choose the three winners, who will obtain a prize of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros respectively.
