Benidorm City Council and the Association of Travel Agencies of Benidorm and the Costa Blanca (AVIBE) will collaborate to develop training actions to promote employment and improve the qualifications of workers in the sector. This collaboration will be articulated through an agreement that was signed this Thursday by the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, and the president of AVIBE, Débora Carretero, in an event in which the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica, also participated. This document establishes the need to promote employment, training and qualification "in areas as important as marketing, commercialization and customer service in the field of tourism activity as the main economic activity" in the municipality, according to Pérez.
The agreement, which will not entail financial obligations for the City Council, will come into force from the moment of signing and will last until December 31 of this year, and may be extended annually for a maximum period of four years as long as both parties agree to maintain this cooperation.
