Benidorm premieres the 'Classics at 9' concert series in the Cultural Center auditorium

Benidorm estrena el ciclo de conciertos ‘Clásicos a las 9’ en el auditorio del Centro Cultural

Starting next Sunday, June 30, Benidorm City Council will launch the new series of concerts 'Classics at 9', an initiative that is part of the XXXV International Music Course and the XXV Music Competition and which has been presented this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and the director of the Course, José Antonio Gonzaga.

The cycle will take place from this Sunday until Friday, July 5 in the Cultural Center auditorium every day starting at nine at night. Admission will be free for all audiences until the venue's capacity of 450 seats is reached. Jaime Jesús Pérez, in that sense, has clarified that "although the cycle is part of the International Music Course, anyone can attend the concerts."

The first concert will take place on Sunday the 30th and will be offered by violinist David Ruiz, winner of last year's International Competition, accompanied by Blanca Peris on the piano.

On Monday, July 1, the program will have two parts. The first will be a 'four-hand piano' by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Graham Jackson and the second will be a violin, cello and piano trio with Savva Fatkulin, Ignasi Kzreminski and Elizaveta Yaroshinskaia. On Tuesday it will be the turn of Ángel Sanzo (piano), José Luis García Vegara (oboe) and Takahiro Mita (piano).

On Wednesday the Final of the XXV International Music Competition will take place in the piano speciality “with three finalists who are very worth seeing,” according to Gonzaga. On Thursday the 4th, psychologist Guillermo Dalia will offer the conference 'Performance Anxiety in the Arts' "in which he explains the causes and solutions of a situation that we all have suffered at any moment." Finally, on Friday it will be the turn of the concert by Mariano García (saxophone), Conrado Moya (marimba) and Aniana Jaime (piano).

“They are all great concert artists at an international level and with great prestige, so I invite everyone to enjoy these concerts because it is very difficult to have a cast like this and in the same place,” added the councillor.
