The Statistics area goes to the third floor and Citizen Participation will be located on the ground floor next to the Neighborhood Council
The City Council transfers part of its lawyers to Secretary to improve the coordination of legal services
With this measure a plenary agreement is fulfilled
Benidorm City Council is going to install a large part of the municipal lawyers in the Secretary department to "gain coordination and operation of legal services." The spokesman of the government team, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that in this way "we comply with the decision adopted by the plenary session and with one of the points included in the budget agreement reached in 2017 with the municipal group Ciudadanos (Cs ) ". Besides, with the report of the Secretary, which recommended grouping in a single space the municipal lawyers who are usually responsible for the legal defense of the City Council.
De Zárate has indicated that part of these lawyers were now in other municipal offices, and highlighted with the grouping of the same in the Department of the Secretariat is centralized receipt of notifications and optimizes decision making and design of legal strategies of the townhall. In principle, it is expected that seven municipal lawyers and one administrative assistant will be installed in this space.
The spokesman has indicated that the transfer of these lawyers to the area of the Secretariat will be done throughout this week, once the departments occupying these spaces are relocated. Thus, the Statistics area has been installed in the meeting room located at the entrance of the third floor -from the main access of the City Hall- and that until now was available to the Department of Citizen Participation, which moves to the ground floor next to Citizen Services and the Neighborhood Council.
