Several members of the local government of Benidorm travelled to La Cala to learn about the proposals on certain matters that the residents of this neighborhood raised. A meeting that has been framed within the weekly campaign 'A pie de calle' and that on this occasion has been motivated by the request of the residents of La Cala.

Present at this meeting were the councilors for Citizenship Participation, Ana Pellicer; Urban Scene and Mobility, Francis Muñoz; Street Cleaning, Luis Navarro; and from Parks and Gardens, José Ramón González de Zárate. On behalf of the Neighborhood Council, the vice presidents Antonio Zamora and Francisco Martínez attended, as well as the president of the La Cala Neighborhood Association, Tere Garrido, and residents of the neighborhood.

The municipal delegation listened to the proposals and suggestions of the neighbors during a tour that passed through streets such as Alfaz del Pi, Santander, Altea, Vigo, and Murtal among others. The main demands had to do with the arrangement of parking in the streets adjacent to Vicente Llorca Alós and Santander to try to have more rotating spaces, especially on those streets where there are businesses.

They also transmitted to the councilors the need to incorporate more urban furniture into these roads, mainly litter bins and benches. They also recalled that they had sent a proposal to the City Council to study the creation of a roundabout at the junction of Avenida del Murtal with Calle México to avoid accidents.

The Councilor for Citizenship Participation, Ana Pellicer, valued "very positively" the initiative of the neighbors "because it helps us to know and study their proposals before dealing with them in the Neighborhood Council that we have next Tuesday." Pellicer  underlined the "concern shown by the neighborhood associations" that she notes "that they are very involved with their neighborhoods and for this reason they send us what they consider could be improved."

For his part, the Councilor for Mobility and Urban Scene, Francis Muñoz, specified that "we have listened to what the residents have transmitted to us mainly about furniture and mobility and we will convey to them the actions that we will carry out, some immediately and others will be addressed it in the Neighborhood Council”.
