Benidorm presenta recurso de casación

Benidorm City Council has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court against the ruling handed down on 23 May by the First Section of the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJ) which established that the City Council should pay 283 million euros, plus the corresponding legal interest, to the companies Murcia Puchades Expansión SL and Urban Villajoyosa 2000 SL in compensation for the urban developments on its property included in the APR-7 sector of Serra Gelada.

This information was passed on to the corporation's groups at a spokespersons' meeting convened by the mayor, Toni Pérez, in which representatives of the groups participated today, assisted by the general secretary of the City Council.

With the filing of this appeal, formalised yesterday, the roadmap marked by the municipal legal services to defend the general interest of Benidorm is being followed. The first step was to request clarification on the ruling from the TSJ.

Remember that before the ruling issued by the Valencian High Court, all judicial pronouncements had been favourable to the Benidorm City Council, as was the ruling of the Consell Jurídic Consultiu.
