The City Council enables access to the cemetery through the industrial estate on the occasion of All Saints Day

22 October 2020
L'Ajuntament habilita l'accés al cementeri pel polígon industrial amb motiu de Tots els Sants...

As in previous years,  on the occasion of the celebration of All Saints festival, Benidorm City Council is going to set up an access lane from CV-70 to get to the ‘Sant Jaume’ cemetery, crossing the industrial estate. This lane will open to traffic tomorrow, Friday, October 23, and will be operational until November 5.

Remember that, due to the extraordinary situation generated by Covid-19, the Department of Cemeteries has established a special protocol to guarantee that visits to the city's cemeteries are carried out in conditions of sanitary security. Thus, to facilitate the staggered flow of people, from Wednesday, October 28 to November 2, the opening hours of the ‘Mare de Déu del Sofratge’ and ‘Sant Jaume’ cemeteries are extended from 08:00 to 19:00.

In addition, an access control will be established to regulate the staggered entry of people, avoiding crowds and guaranteeing at all times that the capacity established in each of the graveyards is met: 186 people simultaneously in the 'Mare de Déu del Sofratge cemetery 'and 1816 in that of' Sant Jaume '”. There will also be a special cleaning and disinfection device. The use of the mask will be mandatory for access and stay in the facilities, as well as gloves to use the fountains, ladders and buckets.

Likewise, the interpersonal safety distance of 1.5 meters must be maintained, and visits are requested to be brief and that the time spent in the facilities is strictly necessary so that the flow of people is constant and access is guaranteed. to the cemetery to all the people who require it.
