City Council and unions agree on a round of meetings to study each allegation to the VPT
The City Council and the trade union centers with representation in the local administration will maintain a round of contacts to study one by one all the allegations presented to the Job Placement Assessment (VPT), as reported today by the Councilor for Human Resources, Jesús Carrobles. The agreement has been adopted at the proposal of the Administration at the General Negotiating Table held today and has been endorsed by all the unions.
Carrobles explained that "there will be a bilateral meeting with each union to study the allegations presented by each of them, because for this government team is a priority to seek consensus with all parties involved and to light a good VPT that is supported by all representatives of the workers ".
The person in charge of Human Resources has indicated that "a schedule of meetings with each union will be drawn up, in morning and afternoon sessions", and he announced that "the first meetings will be held next week".
"This government has been the first in several legislatures really committed to develop a VPT that orders the organizational chart of the City to ensure equity among municipal employees, defining and recognizing the functions performed by each job. That is why - he added - we are going to maintain all the efforts that are necessary so that this document, so claimed for years by the trade union centrals, is a reality before the end of this term ".
Once the round of meetings with the five trade union centers (SPPLB, CCOO, UGT, CSIF and SEP) ends, the VPT will return to the General Negotiating Table for its vote.
