The consistory contributes 40,000 euros so that the entity continues to carry out its work of dissemination, care and custody of animals and promoting the adoption of pets
The City Council and the Society for the protection of Animals and Wild Plants sign the annual agreement
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the president of the Marina Baixa Animal and Plant Protection Society, Pilar López Cepeda, have signed today the collaboration agreement between both entities by which the consistory will subsidize 40,000 euros this year to the entity. An act in which the mayor of Health, Mónica Gómez, was also present.
The Society commits through the document to continue developing its informative work on the respect and care that animals deserve, as well as to continue providing "a great service" to people who have animals and are unable to continue keeping them properly conditions, welcoming them, and looking for adoption destinations.
The Society for the Protection of Animals and Plants also collaborates in collecting, custody, and maintaining stray animals found on roads and public places in the municipality, to which it also provides veterinary care.
