Vila is founder of Doble Amor Center which serves and employs hundreds of people across the region
Casimiro Vila, President of Doble Amor Association has received from the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Neighbor Issue 2016 Award, a distinction created by a proposal of the Neighborhood Council which this year celebrates its sixth edition. The event took place in the Plenary Hall and the mayor was also attended by the councillor for Citizen Participation, María Jesús Pinto; the senator, Augustín Almodóbar; representatives of all local political groups; officers of the National Police and Local Police, the Neighborhood Council, and members of civic, social and cultural organizations in the city. The independent jury awarded the prize to Casimiro Vila. The jury consisted of five neighbors, none of them belonging to the Neighborhood Council: Juan Antonio Fernández, José Arturo Casillas, María del Carmen García, Ramón Francisco Llorens and Francisco Martínez. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, stressed the prize for being a "good man" . A clear reference of his efforts is the creation and consolidation of Doble Amor, "an institution, said the mayor, that every day gives us a lesson, because it meets the needs "of many families and many boys and girls in the whole region ". In his bet on Doble Amor Center, Casimiro Vila has put "all eggs in one basket". Casimiro Vila is 82 years old, and he has been for more than four decades president of Doble Amor Center, an organization that he founded as a small educational center for children with mental functional diversity, which gradually grew to become an institution that employs hundreds of people across the region. Vila was able to combine this philanthropic activity with his professional activity as a builder and manager of a campsite.
