Blanca Paloma, winner of Benidorm Fest 2023 and representative of Spain in Eurovision, is already part of Paseo de la Música in Benidorm. Since yesterday the name of the artist from Elche appears on the monolith dedicated to Benidorm Fest along with that of Chanel, the winner of the first edition.

In an act organized yesterday for the presentation of the third edition of the festival in Paseo de la Música, in Tamarindos, the mayor, Toni Pérez, presented Blanca Paloma a plaque with her name and that of her song. Ea Ea'; plaque that the artist herself placed on the monolith crowned by the gold microphone of Benidorm Fest, thus becoming part of the musical history of the city.

The event, presented by RTVE's Director of Participation and Communication, María Eizaguirre, was attended by, among others, the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Innovation, Nuria Montes; the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; members of the municipal Corporation; representatives of business and economic sectors of Benidorm; and the artists Massiel, Rayden, Carlos Higues and Sandra Valero, the next representative of Spain in Eurojunior.

Both Valero and her predecessor in Eurojunior, Carlos Higues, performed before the public gathered at the Paseo de la Música, among which were a large representation of journalists and the Queens and Dames of the Festes Majors Patronals. The voice of Spain in the children's edition of Eurovision interpreted the theme of the film 'The Little Mermaid' with which she got her place in Nice; while Carlos Higues presented his last song: 'My world'.

Rayden also went through the stage with his 'Multiverse' after recently announcing his intention to park his musical facet.

After yesterday's events, the City Council, the Generalitat Valenciana, and RTVE advance on what will be the third edition of the Benidorm Fest, which will be held at the end of January and beginning of February in the city and from which the representative of Spain will emerge in Eurovision 2024.

Paseo de la Música

Created last year after the first Benidorm Fest was held, Paseo de la Música is a tribute to the musicians and artists who have triumphed first at the Benidorm International Song Festival and now at the Benidorm Fest; and, by extension, it is also a testimony at street level of the close link between Benidorm and music.

Along with the monolith of the golden microphone, the Benidorm Fest prize, Paseo de la Música has another dedicated to the Benidorm International Song Festival, in which all the winners of the legendary contest are reviewed, including Julio Iglesias and Raphael. A monolith that is crowned by a golden mermaid, the same one that for decades was given to the winners of Benidorm Festival.
