Education has reserved 4,087.50 euros for the start-up of the new facilities of the Adult Training Center in the multipurpose buildings of the Edificant Plan

Benidorm will pay schools 155,000 euros for social, educational and maintenance actions

The Department of Education will pay 155,000 euros in the coming weeks to schools supported by public funds, which will be used to finance educational, social and improvement of facilities. The councillor of the department, Maite Moreno, explained that "every year, in the first months, we grant these Municipal Cooperation Credits to contribute to the expenses that the 20 teaching centres that teach 2nd Cycle of Infant, Primary, Secondary Education and Adult Training may have”.

Moreno has reported that "the distribution of these funds is done equitably according to the criteria contained in the bases approved last week by the Local Government Board (JGL)". Specifically, the distribution of funds is based on "the school population of each centre and the socio-cultural work that is carried out for the benefit of the community."

The Councilor for Education has detailed that “these Cooperation Credits are used to pay for the educational-cultural activities carried out by each centre such as collective educational outings, extracurricular training and school exchanges; to projects focused on responding to the socio-economic needs of families in the school environment, such as grants for dining or school trips; to maintenance expenses of the facilities; and assume the transfer of the students to the Children's Traffic Park”.

In addition, "just like last year, a fifth module has been included, for 4,087.50 euros so that the School Center for Adults can pay for extraordinary expenses for the start-up of its new facilities in the multipurpose building of the Edificant Plan on Escuelas street”. These funds can be used, for example, for the purchase of furniture or material.

Moreno has clarified that "the other centre that will have a space in this multipurpose building, the CEIP Leonor Canalejas, already used the corresponding funds last year for the adaptation of a multipurpose room."
The councillor has recorded that "through these Cooperation Credits, year after year the City Council supports and contributes to local education by making funds available to the centres, and families so that they can develop activities that complement the school curriculum of students, improving the facilities and infrastructures of the centres, and also that help families with needs”.

Added to these funds are the investments made by the City Council each year for the maintenance of schools.
