Benidorm City Council is going to hire 20 unemployed people of at least 30 years of age for six months within EMCORP program, subsidized by LABORA with 231,120.15 euros and which is estimated to start in July. The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, explained that "today the job offer will be published to begin the process of selection and hiring of personnel in the coming weeks."
Gómez has pointed out that "the Local Employment Agency, in coordination with the Human Resources department, has defined the job profiles to be requested, taking into account the personnel needs". Thus, "8 people will be hired for the maintenance of municipal facilities and infrastructures, 6 for surveillance of facilities and another six for the customer service area."
Once the offer is registered during the regulation time, LABORA will send the candidates registered in each requested occupation to the City Council. It will be a scale commission, made up of two technicians from the local administration and two representatives of UGT and CCOO unions, which will be in charge of the selection process under the supervision of LABORA.
The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion has recalled that to participate in this one must be registered in LABORA as a job seeker in one of the following occupations: Maintenance of municipal facilities (Code 7191); Municipal facilities guards (Code 5942) and Employees of the customer service area (Code 4411). Interested persons may register at LABORA until Friday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m.
With a view to the 2021 edition of EMCORP program, the City Council "had initially requested a grant of 661,050.92 euros from the Generalitat Valenciana, which would have allowed a very significant increase in the number of people to be hired", although finally the amount awarded was just over 230,000 euros.
