Benidorm undertakes improvement actions in all schools during the Christmas holidays
During the Christmas holiday break, the Benidorm City Council has undertaken improvement actions in almost all the schools in the city so that they are in the best conditions when they return to the classrooms.
This morning, Mayor Toni Pérez and the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, visited the facilities to check their status after the improvement work.
Thus, at Gabriel Miró school, a defective pipe has been fixed, the sports fields have been painted and a kettle has been installed in the school's kitchen.
At the CEIP Mestre Gaspar López, an access ramp has been installed and several necessary repairs have been made in the school kitchen. Also at Vasco Núñez de Balboa school, the existing damage to the kitchen tiles has been fixed. And at La Cala School, they have taken advantage of these dates to install a fence in the preschool playground.
In addition to these repair and improvement tasks, painting work has been carried out in almost all of the city's schools in those areas and places that needed it. Toni Pérez has pointed out that “this type of action is common every time there is a holiday period and educational centres are left without activity. What we want is for our students to be in the best conditions and for the schools to be in the best condition.”
The mayor has specified that these tasks "obey the demands of the centres, which are the ones who tell us where to act."
