Benidorm, in the Special Assembly of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities
Benidorm participated last Wednesday in the Extraordinary Assembly held in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The mayor, Toni Pérez and the councillor for New Technologies, Lourdes Caselles went there.
This entity is in charge of promoting economic progress, social municipalities and business through innovation and knowledge through information and communication technology.
The Extraordinary Meeting held on Wednesday, the first in which Benidorm participates as a full member, has approved the modification of the statutes of the RECI, and the signing of an agreement with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) .
The mayor has meant that with his presence and active participation in the RECI, "Benidorm shows its firm commitment to the implementation of new technologies in administrative management and also tourism management", which is vital to be a referent and competitive destination, and also a city that offers more and better quality of life for its residents and visitors.
