On Friday Arabí Teatre company represents an adapted play by Zorrilla to raise funds for the association. The earning from the concert on Sunday will go to pay the palliative treatment of a young man suffering from quadriplegia
The Association of Handicapped in Benidorm (ASMIBE) has organized two charity events this weekend in the amphitheater Oscar Esplá at L'Aigüera Park, and this morning the councilwoman of Social Welfare, Angela Llorca have presented it along with the president of the organization, Mari Fernández; and Pablo Pérez, actor of the Arabí Teatre company. The first act is a play scheduled for Friday, September 16, at 20.30 hours. The play is a free adaptation of 'Agravios y celos' by José Zorrilla, the donation entry is 5 euros, and the funds raised will go to ASMIBE. Fernández noted that it is "a hilarious comedy" and has been adapted by Ricardo Molina. On Sunday, September 18 it will be held at the same venue at 19.30 a festival of music and dance with which we want to raise money to "fund the palliative treatment" of a young man suffering quadriplegia Benidorm. This is Rafa, an acrobat of Terra Mítica who during a rehearsal suffered an accident that left him serious injuries. ASMIBE president explained that the 3 euros donation will fund this treatment, "which would give a better quality of life to Rafa." In this concert of music and dance there will be the following performances: Selene, Los Cucharillas, Orígenes, Marío Daleno, the dance group Expresiones, and the team of Rhythmic Gymnastics from La Nucía -in which his daughter plays. The highlight of the evening will be the performance of Janyssha Lyon, semifinalist of the TV show La Voz. Llorca has invited all citizens to collaborate with ASMIBE.
