46 photographs of David Revenga, Dori Galiana, Simeón Nogueroles and César García, along with historical posters, to give a festive atmosphere in the Espai d’Art Urbà of the city
Benidorm shows in the streets the graphic image of its Major Patron Festivities
Benidorm reaches the dates of its Major Patron Festivities by illustrating the urban Art Spaces with emblematic images of local festivals, “recreating a vision that keeps alive the traditional and multitudinous local festive spirit, even in times of a pandemic that affects normal development of long-awaited, important and desired celebrations ”, said the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, when starting the placement of the selected images in the lighting boxes this morning.
Curated by Alicia Lamarca, Benidorm will experience its 2020 Patron Saint Festivities in its streets through the 46 images that make up a static and silent representation of its bustling parties, through snapshots of local photographers, the posters of the moment and a collection of always-on images that, as a whole, try to keep alive, on the street and in these days of November, the natural festive spirit of the city.
All the exhibition spaces of the city, highlighted the councilor Ana Pellicer, “will exhibit images of a festivity that we continue to have very much alive and present despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic and that have forced the suspension of emblematic events with a large influx of public".
This same afternoon, at 6:30 p.m., she announced, Mayor Toni Pérez will inaugurate the exhibition in the Espai d'Art Urbà Ponent, thus opening the panoply of festive images of a Benidorm that continues to live the festive spirit of its Patrons.
