Benidorm seeks to position itself in the Scandinavian market

Benidorm Tourism Foundation continues working on the promotion of the virtues of the city in Europe, and therefore, has carried out two new promotional actions which seeks to attract more tourists of high purchasing power from all over Scandinavia.

On the one hand, Visit Benidorm carried out during last week, a press trip, in which 7 journalists from Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark participated, four potential markets in which Benidorm seeks to position itself.

Participants represented large print media in each of their countries, assuming this a great opportunity for the benefits of Benidorm appear in magazines such as "Rantapallo", "Rejser" or "Expressen", among others that will generate in their publications a total impact of more than two million views.

The objective of this press trip was to make known to the Scandinavian public, some of the strongest points of the Costa Blanca capital, such as the good weather, the rich gastronomy, the leisure offer and its Sierra Helada Natural Park, one of the most visited in the Valencian Community.

On the other hand, Visit Benidorm participates during these days and at the hand of Turespaña, at the Senior Massan fair in Stockholm, a tourism event aimed at the Swedish senior public.

The Senior Massan has become Sweden's first fair for seniors and this year celebrates its twenty-third edition, which is expected to more than 14,000 visitors.

Benidorm has traveled to Sweden with its tourist offer to attract the tourist segment known as 50+, which is characterized by its high purchasing power and its great availability to travel.

Two actions in just a few days with which it seeks to continue diversifying the markets that emit tourists to Benidorm and begin to consolidate the image of the city in four of the richest countries in Europe such as Finland, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark.
