Benidorm requests a grant of 685,000 euros for the Music and Dance conservatories
The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, has proposed to the Local Government Board of Benidorm the request for aid to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, based on the Resolution of March 24, destined for conservatories and authorized centres of Elementary or professional music and dance education dependent on local corporations in this year of 2022.
This is the case of the Professional Municipal Music Conservatories 'José Pérez Barceló' and Elemental Municipal of Dance in Benidorm for which the councillor requests grants of six hundred thousand euros and eighty-five thousand euros, respectively. In the first, there are 231 students enrolled, and in the second they are 53.
Both centres carry out their activity in provisional facilities in the multipurpose building on Escuelas Street and 'José Llorca Llinares' Social Centre, until their definitive transfer to the new Cultural Center on Europa Avenue, for which Benidorm City Council has already consigned the item with which it will provide the Municipal Conservatories of Music and Dance with new instruments, furniture, computer and sound equipment.
The equipment, already purchased and in storage, awaits the moment to be moved to the new premises of the Cultural Center on Europa Avenue for which Benidorm City Council has already the maintenance contract.
