Benidorm refuerza la atención al público y la gestión administrativa en varios departamentos con alumnado del programa ‘T’Avalem’

The City Council has reinforced public service and administrative management in different municipal departments through the training and employment program 'T'Avalem Benidorm Jove II', in which 20 unemployed people under 30 years of age participate and which started last month of April.

The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, detailed that “as of this week, the students who are being trained in administrative operations and customer service within the framework of this program have begun to provide service several days a week in the areas of Commerce, Education, Archives, Urban Planning, Openings, and Human Resources, as well as in the tourist offices.”

Gómez explained that “this service to the public and administrative management in municipal offices constitutes the practical part of the training and employment program.” A program, she recalled, that “lasts one year”, that “is aimed at unemployed people aged 16 to 30” and that “has a Labora subsidy of 501,556.80 euros from the European Social Fund.

This subsidy finances the hiring of participating people and the teaching team that is in charge of their training. The program also has a municipal contribution of 60,000 euros.

In the 2023 edition, ten young people are being trained in 'Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers' and in 'Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas'. The second group does so in 'Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services' and in 'Administrative activities in the relationship with the client'.

The green areas maintenance group is in charge of expanding the urban gardens of l'Horta, which will double the number of plots for the practice of organic farming on the Camí de la Parva.
