This award created by the Neighborhood Council distinguishes people who have worked for Benidorm and its inhabitants
The delivery of this recognition will be this Thursday, the 27th, at 12.00 in the Plenary Hall
The president of Doble Amor association, Casimiro Vila Esteban, has been chosen 2016 Exemplary Neighbor for his career at the head of this entity serving and training young people with disabilities in Benidorm and other towns in the Marina Baixa. This has been announced today by the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councilwoman of Citizen Participation, María Jesús Pinto; and first and second vice presidents of the Neighborhood Council, Fernando Montes and Cristian Corraini. The mayor pointed out that this distinction created by the Neighborhood Council, "is to recognize the career of people who have left their mark in the service of citizens and Benidorm". In the case of Casimiro Vila, Pérez stressed that this is a prize "more than deserved" to "a perhaps unrecognized exemplary career, well-known and, for and on behalf of citizens and young people who during his presidency they were able to enjoy the incredible services offered by Doble Amor Association. " For its part, the vice president of the Neighborhood Council explained that the choice of Casimiro Vila as an Exemplary Neighbor has been made "by an independent jury, made up of five people outside the Neighborhood Council" among the three proposals submitted by a committee of this body. That committee evaluates all names previously raised, which this time had been four. Like the mayor, Montes showed satisfaction for the appointment of Casimiro Vila because it involves recognizing "his involvement in the care project of Doble Amor". He also noted that the designation "connects with the line of work driven by the Neighborhood Council in the integration and participation of people with disabilities." The mayor invited all citizens to attend the recognition of Casimiro Vila as an Exemplary Neighbor 2016 that will take place this Thursday, October 27, at 12.00 in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall ".
