Benidorm receives a new award for its international leadership
El Perelló also awarded the Leisure and Tourism Federation and the president of AVA-ASAJA
Yesterday afternoon, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, collected the special prize awarded to the city of Benidorm for its dimension and international tourism promotion, which has made it a national and international benchmark.
Pérez thanked the award and highlighted the effort made by this city to "position itself in a preferential place, maintain itself and achieve leadership" as it is recognized by this award.
The Gala, the first to be held, prologues the traditional Tomato Fair of El Perelló, which is held this year from June 3 to 5, focused on the cultivation of this botanical fruit that has become a national benchmark and which, in parallel, develops gastronomic days centred on him and the local product.
The president of AVA-ASAJA, Cristóbal Aguado, and the Federation of Leisure and Tourism (FOTUR) was also awarded last night. Together with them, various entrepreneurs and collaborators in the promotion of tomatoes, a product that has made famous El Perelló, as well as producer families. An endearing special award went to the entrepreneurial pioneer of cultivation in the coastal lands of the Albufera.
