Benidorm reaffirms its commitment to position itself in the neighboring country

21 September 2018
Benidorm reafirma su apuesta por posicionarse en el país vecino

Visit Benidorm Foundation continues to work on attracting Portuguese tourists, and for this reason, together with the Spanish Tourism Office in Lisbon, and with the collaboration of the Valencian Tourism Agency, they close the last quarter of the year with two online campaigns in order to enhance the image of Benidorm in this market.

The first campaign that began on September 17 aims to highlight various aspects of the city through Trivia questions, and with it is intended to reach an estimated reach of 190,000 people.

This campaign, which will end on October 4 and in whose prize Patronato Costa Blanca and the Gran Hotel Balí who has offered the accommodation collaborate, will be followed by another themed post campaign of the "Benidorm Week in Portugal" where it will be valued aspects such as gastronomy, family and sports offer, nightlife and the commercial offer of the city in the Portuguese market among others.

These actions are part of the program of deseasonalization proposed by the Foundation through online coverage that reinforces the professional and final public actions developed during 2018 and with the collaboration of Turespaña and the Valencian Tourism Agency.

Visit Benidorm is making a great promotional effort in the neighboring country, and so far this year, Benidorm has been present at two fairs; Mundo Abreu and BTL, has carried out a street marketing action in shopping centers in three cities in the center and north of the country, has developed a co-marketing action with the airline Tap in order to promote the Lisbon-Alicante route, and there is still an action pending in which influential Lusos will participate, participation in the Oporto marathon with the organizers of Benidorm Half and a new street marketing action in shopping centers in Lisbon and surrounding areas.

Through these actions, Visit Benidorm intends to continue positioning the city in a local market such as the Portuguese, which increasingly has more possibilities to visit the Costa Blanca Capital, now also by air, thanks to the route launched by the airline Tap, and which undoubtedly represents a new opportunity to continue diversifying Benidorm's tourist.
