The mayor has transferred the complete file, which includes the specifications, to the Corporation groups, after incorporating the latest audit report today
Benidorm, ready to tender the new management contract for the bus station
The new contract will be tendered for 24.5 million, with which the work carried out and not amortized will be covered
The Benidorm City Council is now ready to tender the new management contract for the bus station. This has been communicated by the mayor, Toni Pérez, after a Board of Spokespersons held today in which the groups of the Corporation have been informed that "this morning I was informed by the technicians that the administrative file is already complete" and, consequently, it can already be raised to full. A file that includes the specifications that will govern that tender, as well as all the pertinent technical reports, the last one, of the final inspection, signed this morning.
Toni Pérez has indicated that "the bus station is an issue that has motivated us from minute 1" with the sole objective of "complying with a sentence" ratified in 2012 by the Supreme Court that forced the City Council to tender again the operation of the bus station.
The mayor explained that "many hours have been dedicated to the real and effective work that today allows us to have these specifications", and added that the local government intends to approve them as soon as possible in full. With this purpose, this morning he proposed to address the matter next Monday, the 16th, in an extraordinary and urgent plenary session; finally and in response to the request of the opposition groups, the plenary session will be held on Monday the 23rd.
Once the plenary approves the specifications, the contract will be put out to tender for a term of 26 years, 10 months, and 8 days and 24,516,647.32 euros. With this amount, the work carried out and not amortized will be covered.
It should be remembered that this tender will come after the City Council and the Benidorm SL Bus Station reached an agreement for the resolution and liquidation of the terminal management contract. This agreement, which was embodied in an agreement, was reached within a parity and eminently technical commission of which the municipal secretary and auditor, a technician from the Economic area, and representatives of the concessionaire were part.
Based on this agreement, Estación de Autobuses de Benidorm SL will continue to provide service until the bidding process is complete and there is a new concessionaire.
