Vehicles traveling in an upward direction will be able to access Estación street, where the bus stop is located again
Benidorm opens tomorrow the new lanes on Beniardá avenue
The new lanes on Beniardá Avenue will be operational starting tomorrow morning, as reported today by the Department of Mobility. The opening of the lanes, in both directions, is carried out once the works in the upper part of the underpass are well advanced.
In the upward direction, the road will have a traffic lane and a bicycle lane, while in the downward direction, the bicycle lane will be incorporated into the road, which will have the character of a bicycle street.
Once in service, drivers travelling in an upward direction will be able to access Estación Street, which until now was not possible, and from there to the northern part of Colonia Madrid. Similarly, drivers travelling downhill will have the option of changing their direction of travel at the height of the train track without having to cross the underpass.
However, this new lane will serve the users of the park and ride, since they will have entry and exit through the avenue itself through this road.
These new additions that will be put into service from 8 am tomorrow have been visited today by the mayor Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Mobility, Francis Muñoz, and municipal technicians.
Pérez highlighted the advantages of having the lanes "because it offers more possibilities to drivers, in addition to the fact that it will greatly improve traffic and circulation options." The mayor once again emphasized "the commitment to mobility" and, "give more fluidity to traffic thanks to the measures applied in recent months."
On the other hand, the entry into operation of the new lanes will mean that the urban bus stop that until now was located next to the municipal branch will return to its usual location next to the TRAM station.
