The offer of vacancies is for 194 places of 0 to 2 years and the term of application ends the 18 of May
The places for P2 can increase in the SAPI or if Conselleria enables the units requested by the City Council in the schools Aitana and Vasco Núñez
Benidorm City Council opens this Monday, May 8, the period of application for enrollment in the three municipal schools - Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet - and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets, corresponding to Early Childhood Education.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, who also manages the area of Education, has informed that in the face of the next course "194 vacant places" are offered initially for Children from 0 to 2 years for families with children born in 2015, 2016 And 2017. The number of vacancies is distributed in 16 places for children of 0 years, destined to born this year; 114; P1, for students born in 2016; and 64 places of children of 2 years for those born in 2015.
Pérez has clarified that the total offer of municipal places in these centers is 399 school posts, more than 200 of which are already occupied by students with last year's place that have already confirmed their enrollment and that in September will rise in level.
The deadline for admission applications for "these 100% municipal seats" ends on May 18, and documentation can be submitted in the administrative extensions or in the Department of Education, located on the third floor of the City Hall.
In any case, the mayor has remarked that these vacancies "are more than ever", since in the next weeks the number of places in P2 could increase. In this regard, he recalled that the City Council requested by agreement to the Ministry of Education the creation of two units of Infantil 2 years in the schools Aitana and Vasco Núñez de Balboa, located in a neighborhood "like Foietes in which there is no municipal offer at this educational level ".
Pérez has indicated that these two units "have not been created at the moment and therefore do not appear in the provisional school arrangement of the Conselleria" for the next course - "to which allegations have been made" from Benidorm -, although according to information moved unofficially to the City Council, everything indicates that both will be created. This would increase the supply of P2 in 36 more school places. Some places that would be added to the 18 that Conselleria has implanted in the Puig Campana school since 2015/2016 and the 240 that make up the municipal offer in the municipal schools and SAPI.
However, in case that the Ministry does not create these units and if the demand requires it, the City Council can increase the additional places for children of 2 years in SAPI Nanets, between 26 and 40 additional vacancies.
