La oferta de vacantes es de 213 plazas de 0 a 2 años, a las que se suman las aulas de P2 habilitadas en cuatro colegios
Benidorm opens on April 25 the application for a place for municipal nursery schools and the SAPI
The procedure will be done telematically until May 10 on the web site, without the need for a digital certificate
On April 25, starting at 9:30 a.m., the deadline to apply for a place in the three municipal nursery schools – Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet – and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets opens. The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, has reported that "the provisional offer for the 2022/2023 course of Children from 0 to 2 years in the municipal network is 213 vacancies for families with minors born in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022".
The number of provisional vacancies is distributed in 16 Infant places from 0 years; 127, for P1; and 70 2-year-old nursery places for boys and girls born in 2020. However, "depending on demand, there is the possibility of expanding the initial offer by two more units for 1-year-old infants or P2 at SAPI Nanets".
Regarding the 0-year-old Infant units, Moreno has indicated that "to enrol a minor born in 2022 in the classrooms of this level, she must be four months old in September."
The mayor has clarified that the global offer of the three municipal nursery schools is greater than the places offered, but part of the school positions are already occupied by students enrolled in previous courses who have confirmed their enrollment and who will rise in level in September.
The Councilor for Education has stressed that "the process of applying for a place in nursery schools and the SAPI will be done telematically on the website of the City Council (https://sede.benidorm.org/inicio)". Moreno has stressed that "to facilitate this procedure as much as possible, it will not be necessary to have a digital certificate."
In addition, "families that lack technological means will have help for telematic processing at the Youth Information Center, located at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, from 09:00 to 14:00." Also by the Local Association of APAs, this assistance will be provided at its premises on Calle Estación, 1, requesting an appointment on 966815471.
Families must attach all the required documentation in PDF format to the application; documentation that can be consulted in the Education section of the municipal website: https://benidorm.org
Moreno recalled that “when filling the vacancies, the applications of families registered in Benidorm with at least 12 uninterrupted months will be attended to first.
Next, it will be the turn of the families registered for less than a year; and ultimately, if vacancies remain, requests from families residing in other locations would be addressed.” Likewise, she has stressed that "if the demand exceeds the supply of places, only families registered in Benidorm will be included on the official waiting list."
The application period will be open until May 10. Provisional lists will be published on May 20, opening four days for claims. The final lists will be published on May 30, which can be claimed from that same day until June 1. Each centre will set the enrollment date.
Offer from the Ministry of Education for P2
Apart from the municipal offer, Moreno recalled that Benidorm "has 72 'extra' places for 2-year-olds, for boys and girls born in 2020, in the classrooms set up for this purpose in the Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar López and Puig Campana. The mayor has clarified that "the enrollment application for these classrooms will be the same as established by the Ministry for the second cycle of Early Childhood and Primary Education."
