Benidorm continues to commemorate the festivity of the Virgen del Carmen. Before the offering, a mass was celebrated in honour of the Virgen del Carmen in the parish that bears her name.
The acts in honour of the Virgen del Carmen culminate today with the marine offering, which will depart from the port around 8:00 p.m. and will tour the bay of Benidorm. A procession that each year brings together hundreds of people who follow the procession from the breakwater of the port and El Castell and from the boats that accompany the Virgin on her journey through the waters of Benidorm. Later, on the Paseo de Colón, the Marinera de Honor will recite the verse to the Virgen del Carmen, the work by Vicenta Pérez Bayona, 'Cuqui'.
