Benidorm offers sports initiation courses in the 7 municipal sports schools, 2 non-municipal and 9 local sports clubs
Those registered in Benidorm will be able to register from Monday September 12 and those not registered from Monday 19
The Department of Sports begins on Monday the registration for the activities for the 2022-2023 academic year are scheduled in the Municipal Sports Schools and local clubs offering courses in swimming, aqua gym, gymnastics, running, Valencian ball, skating, paddle tennis, tennis, volleyball, taekwondo, handball, rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, self-defence, martial arts, artistic swimming, rugby and beach volleyball, along with the sports practices and activities of the Municipal School of Functional Diversity.
The councillor for sports Mariló Cebreros has highlighted that this year "the offer of courses and activities is focused on initiation" seeking, she said, "to promote healthy sports practice" while "trying to offer the greatest possible variety of activities and disciplines sports”.
The scheduled courses, which will take place from October 3 to May 31, subject to the school calendar and the usual holidays, will cost between 10 and 20 euros per month. In paddle tennis, the courses will be quarterly.
An activity without quota highlighted the councillor, “will be the maintenance gymnastics on the beach that will have specific points in Levante, Poniente and Parque de Elche according to a weekly calendar and specific times.

In case of choosing to formalize it in person, the mayor has detailed, "the interested party may go to the Department of Sports, to any of the municipal administrative extensions or to the Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm".
Cebreros recalled that "all those registered will have medical insurance during sports practice in municipal schools" as well as that "all sports activities will be adapted to current health regulations at all times."
The current mandatory requirement is to attend 75% of the scheduled classes monthly and Cebreros recalled that "discounts will be applied in cases of large, single-parent and foster families, as well as the degree of disability or beneficiary of guaranteed citizenship income and subscribers to sports facilities”, remembering that they are not cumulative.
