Benidorm observes a minute of silence in memory of the last victim of the macho violence in Las Gabias
Benidorm City Council with the Equality councilor, Paquita Ripoll, at the head, has observed a minute of silence in memory of the last victim of gender violence in Spain. In the act members of the different groups represented in the corporation, public workers and neighbors have participated.
Last night, a 55-year-old woman was allegedly killed by a shot executed by her ex-husband, a man of 51, in the Granada town of Las Gabias. Shortly after, the man has surrendered in the Command of the Civil Guard of Granada. With this case, there are already 28 victims of gender-based violence in our country so far this year. The councillor Paquita Ripoll has not missed the opportunity and insisted on the need to publicize in all areas of society the free telephone number, 016, of advice and information on gender violence that, in addition, leaves no trace on the telephone bill.
