The City Council renews its traditional commitment to training by offering 6 scholarships to registered residents in Benidorm

Benidorm mantiene su colaboración en el Máster de Arroces y Alta Cocina Mediterránea de la UA

Benidorm City Council collaborates, once again, with the University of Alicante, providing study aid to hospitality professionals who want to improve their knowledge. The municipal initiative completes at the local level the knowledge that the UA and Turisme de la Generalitat have agreed.
These municipal grants of Benidorm are materialized in the sponsorship of six scholarships to study the Master in Rice and Mediterranean Haute Cuisine which is broken down into the titles of Expert in History, Globalization and Tourism around Rice and Mediterranean Haute Cuisine and Specialist in Science and Culinary Technology, Pairings, Rice and Mediterranean Haute Cuisine. To obtain the Master's degree, both degrees must be passed and a final master's thesis (TFM) must be completed, which will be eminently practical.
The training objectives are based on getting to know the historical evolution of rice and Mediterranean haute cuisine, the main products and processes related to the preparation of rice. The students will know the main products involved in the preparation of rice; raw materials, production areas, elaboration, peculiarities, cooking techniques.
The expert course takes place on the UA campus, from October to December, taught in a blended way and its passing contributes 20 credits to the final set. The specialist course, also blended and for those who have passed the expert course, adds to the Alicante campus the sessions -Monday and Tuesday, from December to May- at the Dénia CdT and at the Invat.tur in Benidorm, granting 30 credits to the be surpassed. The final 10 credits are obtained with the TFM. To highlight, among the teaching staff, prestigious chefs such as Quique Dacosta (Quique Dacosta restaurant-Dénia), Kiko Moya (L'Escaleta-Cocentaina), Alberto Ferrúz (BonAmb-Xàbia), Susi Diaz (La Finca-Elche), María José San Román (Monastrell-Alicante), Cristina Figueira (El Xato-La Nucía), Jose Manuel Miguel (Beat-Calp) and Ferdinando Bernardi (Orobianco-Calp), among others.
