Benidorm keeps a minute of silence in memory of the last victim of sexist violence
The municipal corporation of Benidorm, with its mayor, Toni Perez, and the councilor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, in the lead, has held this afternoon a minute of silence in memory of the latest victim of gender violence. With this there are 14 women who have lost their lives in our country so far this year because of sexist violence.
On this occasion, she was a 44-year-old woman, from the town of Guadahortuna in Granada, to whom her partner, with whom she no longer lived, has murdered her two shots at point-blank range. Despite she was attended by the emergency health services, the victim died in the Intensive Care Unit. The alleged murderer has already been arrested and brought to justice by the Civil Guard.
From the Department of Equality have reiterated that, at any sign of alarm, victims can go to the phone against gender violence, the 016, where they will be served by specialized personnel. Calls to this number have no cost and are not reflected in the telephone bill.
