With this gesture we want to give visibility to an ailment suffered by 400 people in the Valencian Community and for which there is still no cure
Benidorm joins #LuzporlaELA on the World Disease Day by illuminating the Castell, El Tossal and the Town Hall
The city of Benidorm joins this Monday in the initiative to give #LuzporlaELA on World Disease Day. For this, the Castell,Tossal de La Cala and the façade of the Town Hall, three of the most iconic and emblematic points of the city, will be lit up in green tonight; a gesture with which we want to give visibility to this disease, which in the Valencian Community suffer about 400 people and for which 150 years after its discovery there is still no cure.
The City Council thus responds to the appeal made by the Valencian Association of ALS (ADELA-CV), contributing and helping to present the work of this entity that tries to offer the highest quality of life to people affected by the disease, whose hope of life from diagnosis is between 3 and 5 years.
People who want to contribute to this awareness campaign can upload photos of the Castell, Tossal and / or the façade of the Town Hall illuminated in green to their social networks using the hashtags #LuzporlaELA and #AmigosdeADELACV.
