González de Zárate points out that the goal is "to offer the best image for the arrival of the October long weekend and All Saints' Day"
Benidorm improves the decoration of cemeteries and flowerbeds with more than 12,000 plants

Benidorm City Council's Department of Parks and Gardens has begun planting more than 12,000 plants in different locations throughout the municipality to enhance the city's landscape and image.
Thus, most of the plants will be placed in the municipal cemeteries, and the rest will be placed in planters and flowerbeds throughout the different neighbourhoods.
First, as Councillor José Ramón González de Zárate explained, approximately 7,000 plants will be planted in the two municipal cemeteries "to beautify this highly visited place, especially as we approach All Saints' Day."
The work in the cemeteries is not limited to these plants; robust Washingtonia palm trees have also been replanted.
The same is true for the planting of approximately 4,000 seasonal plants in the city's flowerbeds and planters. "We are approaching the October long weekend in the Valencian Community, and we want our citizens and visitors who come during these days to be greeted by a beautiful and welcoming image," stated González de Zárate.
The councillor noted that the Parks and Gardens contract has just been extended, "and the changes and improvements will be seen very soon." He also noted that "despite having expanded the areas included in the contract and the much larger scope of action, we are not going to forget the flowerbeds in the neighbourhoods to achieve the best possible image."
"Our goal," the councillor continued, "is for the city to be enjoyed, for it to offer a better image every day and for it to become increasingly welcoming." González de Zárate also stated that in addition to these efforts, "every day we continue to replace trees on public roads that have suffered some type of deterioration."
