Benidorm hosts the 44th Meeting of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Neurology
Over 400 professionals, for three days, will update their knowledge to improve care for child patients
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has participated in the opening ceremony of the 44th Meeting of the Spanish Society of Pediatrics Neurology (SENEP), which brings together in Benidorm more than 400 professionals in the speciality, at an international level, with a prestigious team of speakers from Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany.
In his words of welcome and opening of the congress, he pointed out that we were facing "a happy day for Benidorm" because with this meeting the congress and MICE activity of the city was recovered. Pérez congratulated himself on the importance and number of attendees who will remain in Benidorm for three days and asked the attendees "to learn and share the news that will be communicated" at the meeting and asked for "applause" for the dedication of the health community in general during the pandemic and today.
The mayor of Benidorm highlighted in his brief speech that "the health field has allowed us to overcome this very complex situation", he praised "the commitment to the people of the medical community" and thanked them for "always being there". He recalled that Benidorm, also "has remained there and continues to be that leading national and international destination."
Toni Pérez asked the professionals registered at the congress to "take advantage of the time to acquire knowledge that has an impact on the good of all" and to "take advantage of their stay in Benidorm, a city that lives by offering happiness, to find it also enjoying free time".
Pérez shared the table with Dr Ana Camacho Salas, president of SENEP, with the territorial director of the Generalitat's Department of Universal Health, Encarna Llinares Cuesta, and with the engineer and astronaut Pedro Duque Duque, who held the ministries of Science and Innovation between 2018 and 2021 and who gave the inaugural conference. The president of the Organizing Committee of the meeting, Dr Francisco Carratalá and the Councilor for Health of Benidorm City Council, Mónica Gómez have completed the circle of authorities of the act.
