Benidorm Mayor Toni Pérez welcomed a delegation from the board of the National Association of Veterans Who Completed Their Military Service in the Sahara on Friday. The association has chosen Benidorm as the venue for its 21st National Reunion, which is bringing together around 400 people in the city throughout the weekend.
As they explained to the Mayor, the event aims to share experiences, further strengthen bonds of friendship and camaraderie, and keep alive the spirit that has united them since they completed their compulsory military service in the Sahara.
The reunion is being held at the Hotel Bali from Thursday, 15 October, until Sunday, with a programme of activities that also includes excursions, screenings, a fellowship meal and the association’s general assembly, at which its new board will be elected.
Toni Pérez welcomed the delegation to Benidorm on behalf of the entire city and expressed his hope that the 21st National Reunion “will be highly productive and allow them to enjoy everything Benidorm has to offer, both to those of us who live here and to those who visit us”.
