Councillor Javier Jordá encourages people to join the campaign, which already has fifteen participating establishments
Benidorm highlights local and sustainable businesses with the 'Watch your business grow' campaign

Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Commerce, and in collaboration with students from the Image and Sound training program at the Beatriu Fajardo High School in Mendoza, is developing the "Your Business Grows" campaign. The purpose is to "promote and highlight local commerce, sustainable and environmentally friendly products," explained Javier Jordá, Councillor for Commerce, in the presentation today.
To highlight these establishments, a list and virtual route of businesses with these characteristics that have joined the campaign are being created on the City Council's website, www.benidorm.org, and a campaign is being launched to raise awareness of these businesses. "We want people to know that Benidorm offers a different, committed type of commerce," stated Jordá, who announced that "meetings and workshops with communications professionals" will be held.
The campaign will culminate with an open-air market on a street "so that businesses can showcase their products." Although the date has not yet been set, the councillor indicated it will take place "at the beginning of autumn." "It's the beginning of a commitment to a different and sustainable commerce," added Jordá.
Esther Vidal, a teacher at the vocational training program, thanked the City Council for its "trust" in the center's students and stated that the benefits will be mutual because "on the one hand, the City Council receives creative ideas, and on the other, the students are placed in a real-life work environment." Yasmina Ali, one of the students, explained that her job is to "animate the sketches of the businesses, convey their characteristics, make them more engaging for people who want to learn about them, and convey how they differ from other businesses." Her job, in short, is to convert previously captured images of the establishments into 2D animations and then upload those images to the website or various communication channels.
"It's an added value for the local businesses that join the campaign," the councillor stated, noting that the rules for the campaign are available on the municipal website, where you can access the form to participate." The "Watch your business grow" campaign doesn't initially have a specific duration, "but will be ongoing over time," Jordá concluded.
