Benidorm finalizes the exhibition on sustainability in the Espais d'Art Urbà after solving the photographic contest
The exhibition opens on July 8
The Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage, together with RGB Magazine, is finishing these days the exhibition on sustainability that will arrive at the Espais d'Art Urbà in Benidorm next July and is the result of the photographic call launched last month of April for professionals and photography enthusiasts in the province of Alicante.
Last Friday, the jury of the contest announced the names of the 43 people whose photographs have been chosen to be part of 'Sustainability'. Some images come from 14 towns in the province of Alicante, including Benidorm, which has two authors among the selected team.
The Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, has indicated that "this call, with which we wanted to attract the patent and latent photographic talent of our province, has been very well received, since 54 authors have presented their works to the contest and 181 the contributed photographs”. Of all of them, she has clarified, "the jury has made a selection of 48 images that capture a vision or a story about what sustainability and environmental conservation are and how they are perceived".
The list of selected images and authors can be seen in the Historical and Cultural Heritage section of the municipal website: https://benidorm.org/
Pellicer recalled that the selected works will be at the Espais d'Art Urbà Els Tolls, El Carrasco, Hispanitat, El Campo and Ponent "coinciding with the summer season and, therefore, with the time of year in which Benidorm concentrates its greater volume of visitors, which multiplies the potential visibility of these images and with it the message in favour of the sustainability of this exhibition”.
Sustainability, she has influenced, "is part of the essence of Benidorm and in which the city is a benchmark at a national and international level".
The councillor recalled that "sustainability is the central theme of the programming of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage for this third quarter of the year, with this exhibition by RGB Magazine on the one hand that opens on July 8, and with another exhibition in our Boca del Calvari museum of which the first aspects will be known in the coming days ”.
