Benidorm Fest, awarded by the Provincial Council for its work in promoting and disseminating popular culture

The Provincial Council of Alicante has recognized the Benidorm Fest with a Miguel Hernández Award for its work in promoting and disseminating popular culture. The award was presented at the gala that this institution, chaired by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, organizes each year to recognize the most outstanding artists, creators, and events in the field of Alicante culture and took place in the Auditorium of the Alicante Provincial Council (ADDA).

The Councilor for Events and Festivals, Jesús Carrobles, and the Minister for Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Nuria Montes, were in charge of receiving the award from the hands of the Provincial Deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro. Along with the Benidorm Fest, the artistic-literary gathering of El Cresol in Crevillent has also been awarded in this same category; Ateneo Científico y Literario in Alicante; Amigos de la Música Association in Alcoy and Fira de Tots Sants in Cocentaina.

 Benidorm Fest is already preparing its third edition, which will take place on January 30 and February 1 and 13 of next year. On November 11, the 16 proposals chosen to participate from among the 825 songs presented to the contest were announced at a gala that took place in Seville, whose official presentation will take place in the coming weeks.

Benidorm musical event has already received other awards since it started in January 2021. Thus, in addition to this Miguel Hernández Alicante Culture Award, the Benidorm Fest also received a Special Mention from the Jury of Ondas Awards last week. He has also achieved two awards from the FestVal de Vitoria; three Iris Awards from the Television Academy; the City of Benidorm Award; the Valencian Community Tourism Award; the Vocento Special Award for Brand Positioning; the Diversia 2023 award; or the Here TV Special Award, among others.
